Good morning!

Leather vest is a timeless piece that should exist in your wardrobe no matter the season, your age or personal style.

How to pick your leather vest?

Well, this is easy, count that the leather vest you choose should fit your body properly, the same way a blazer or a leather jacket does.

During the 20th Century black leather jackets became a staple item of clothing for the rebel biker. The leather vest derivates from the jacket, keeping the fit but loosing the sleeves.

Choose a versatile leather vest, a vest that can be worn alone over a short or even under a blazer or a jacket.

How to mix and match the leather vest?

My personal choice for the first days of fall is a plai t-shirt with contrast short denims. Usually the leather vest requires some simple pieces to wear with them. Think plain t-shirts and jeans to get the greaser look and finish it with some plain trainers.

The trick to wearing a leather vest is making sure that you don’t bulk it out underneath. Keep the vest fit comfortably, almost like a suit jacket, showing your body shape. Shirts and t-shirts are the best friends of your leather vest and can be used in styling as a base.

When you style up a leather vest with studs or other applications keep in mind not to match with it more than 2 colours. Usually you’ll find in stores black leather vests, especially biker style like the one I’m wearing so I recommend you to play around the black.

My choice for jeans, to pair up with this biker vest is a short ripped white jeans. As other options I would recommend black plain or destroyed long jeans in case you would like to have a black on black outfit. Should you like a contrast in your styling? Pair then to this vest a pair of formal trousers and a plain slim ft shirt.

When it comes about footwear, for sure I went for comfy trainers in matching colours. I would wear as well for this outfit a pair of high-tops in black or white.

Where to wear the leather vest? I would wear it in a day casual outfit with rock influences or a relaxed evening outfit where a dress code allows an urban outfit, when the vest is matched with denims. If you need your outfit to be more elegant try a lightweight leather vest underneath a blazer with formal trousers and leather shoes or even boots!

Keep on looking great!

Feel good, Look GREAT!

It’s not much time left until summer holidays are here and I’ll take advantage of a last weekend in the city to make from dungaree an easier subject by showing you how to wear it.

When I think about where I saw the allover often, I visualize it as an work-wear item. Today the allover is a fashion statement and few of us are brave enough to wear it.

Back in the 90’s, TUPAC and Will Smith were the trendsetters wearing dungarees as a streetwear item and later on, designers like Balmain & Louis Vuitton were inspired to introduce it in their Spring – Summer 2014 collections, to promote it and relaunch it as a fashion trend. After them mass market & medium high brands took the initiative in 2015 & the most popular dungaree is the denim one and the most often seen in urban streetwear outfits.

For me the allover is an item for free time, for a barbeque or to hangout with friends. I chosed a washed denim summerish baggy fit with low crotch and short pants.

The dungaree is a good pick when you are spontaneous and you just wanna put something on and go but still having a cool outfit. Pair it with a t-shirt or tank top, leave the braces down or put one on a shoulder, pick a random shirt, some loafers and you are good to go.

When it’s about accessories i recommend a backpack to complete the look. It fits great with the outfit you made in less than 5 minutes and it is very useful.

Feel good, Look GREAT!

Is it a trend that is so wrong, it’s right?

Fashion rules were ment to be broken from the beginning.
After years of shunning denim on denim it became a hype again?
The mixture of denim is a world of infinite possibilities.

The revival of denim can easily be blamed on the worldwide bloggers and street style, they all came with new styling ideas of how to reinvent the old jeans in your closet, of how to make them fresh again.

Designers took the initiative as well and redefined the fabric. They played with shapes from trim to oversize, colors from bleached to dark even double washed and changed textures from selvedge to power stretch.

What caught my attention is TOM FORD’s approach. The well known designer for his luxurious suits and evening wear is proposing us the denim as the new fabric for formal engagements.

The outfit stays in a faded denim shirt under a suede jacket combined with washed straight cut jeans and a patterned scarf around the neck.

Is this the new definition of elegance? Yes? No? YES!

If you are a “beginner” in denim wear, I recommend you to combine different shades of denim, try a darker denim color for pants and a lighter color for the top. And for the “advance users” I challenge them to wear close washes for jacket and pants and to maybe use a pop of color to break down the denim wall. Use colored or printed shirts/t-shirts and throw some accessories on.

I took this challenge on my own and I mixed with a beige/cognac mix of accessorizes, rolled my jeans and brought an accent of color with a pair of orange socks. For the rebel in you, definitely go for destroyed or destroyed and repaired denims, you will like that too.

OUTFIT: DIESEL Jacket, ABSOLUT JOY T-shirt, SCOTCH&SODA Jeans, DIESEL/GUESS Leather bracelets, POLO RALPH LAUREN Belt, DSQUARED2 Sunglasses, ZARA Scarf, J.LINDEBERG Shoulderbag, RIVER ISLAND Monk shoes.

The trick for the right double denim look stays in the pieces you choose. As long as every denim piece you mix is well structured and fitted on your body you can really make it work!
