Buna dimineata,

Marsala este cel mai populat oras situat in regiunea Tripani, in Sicilia.

In concluzie, Burgundy & Marsala sunt ambele culori ale vinurilor folosite in industria modei in special in sezonul rece.

Good morning,
Pantone announced last winter the color of 2015, and that is Marsala, I’m sure all of you heard about it. Might be that you don’t know where it comes from, so let me tell you a bit about it.

Marsala is an Italian town located in the Province of Trapani in the westernmost part of Sicily. Marsala is the most populated town in Trapani District and the fifth in Sicily. The town is famous for the docking of Garibaldi on 11 May 1860 and for its Marsala wine. Marsala is a delicious Italian wine, dry or sweet, produced in Sicily and granted the certificate of origin in 1969. While the city’s natives sometimes drink “vintage” Marsala, the wine produced for export is universally fortified similar to Port, Madeira and Sherry. Originally, this addition of alcohol was to ensure that it would last on long ocean voyages, but now it is made that way because of its popularity in foreign markets. [source: wikipedia]

One of the colors that almost always takes the stage during the fall season is the burgundy color. Burgundy is one of France’s main wine producing areas. It is well known for both its red and white wines, mostly made from Pinot noir and Chardonnay grapes, respectively, although other grape varieties can be found, including Gamay, Aligote, Pinot blanc, and Sauvignon blanc. The region is divided into the Côte-d’Or, where the most expensive and prized Burgundies are found, and Beaujolais, Chablis, the Côte Chalonnaise and Mâcon.      Burgundy was – historically – worn for formal events in Victorian Britain, the gentlemen were often wearing deep or dark red. The most common outerwear was the single breasted buton long coats, with a high waistline,  these jackets epitomised elegance and masculinity.
emilioghaman.com      In 2015 the hype is not only a formal favourite item, it is the colour which is so easy to mix and match with nearly whatever. In conclusion, Burgundy & Marsala are both shades of wine color used a lot in fashion industry during fall season. Since Marsala is the color of the year, this season we will speak about it. I wear it more in the fall-winter season than the spring-summer season just because it is a darker color and it fits so well with the cold weather, rusty leaves and snow.      When we speak about color combinations you should not need to much advice. I am sure you think already that Marsala with navy and white would look good, in fact the color is so easy to mix and match that you can pair it with a lot of colors, for example: camel, beige, white, black, grey, blue, navy, Olympian or electric blue, gray, anthracite, brown, cognac, green; even with metallic colors like silver and gold.

emilioghaman.com       My choice for this photo shooting was to make with Marsala a casual/urban outfit with a rock touch. I paired black biker coated jeans and military boots with a white shirt with tie and knit that i usually wear at the office. on top a velour bomber felt like the right jacket to add.
You can wear nearly any article in this color, for example, i find easy to combine a Marsala pair of denims with white high tops and a gray t-shirt and an easy blue jeans jacket. As a final word i’d say you should really enjoy wearing Marsala this winter.
